How to Maintain Relationships
Being faithful to one thing is a start to being faithful in everything…If you adhere to the spirituality and the purity of a relationship, then you can abide by the rules of being faithful. Faithfulness extends to all segments of relationships. It involves the spectrum of marriage, family, friends, acquaintances and your profession.
Take the trouble to maintain your relationships. This does not come easy. You have to put yourself out to maintain a true friendship. Learn to put temptations aside and look at the bigger picture. Being faithful is a long and narrow road…but walkable, manageable and trustable.
There is nothing that you cannot control and nothing that you cannot be overcome. If you focus on looking at heart of the relationship, then true grit comes into play and all the so-called habits that you were hiding behind will take a back seat.
When you consider yourself a boyfriend, husband, father, friend, brother or just a colleague, you have to stay true to that role because it should come from within you and should be an intrinsic part of you.
But this does not mean that no temptation will come your way. Temptations come in the form of adultery, irritability, selfishness, greed, unhappiness, depression, deprivation and a trillion other ways. But sit and analyze the feeling as to why you want to give in and fall prey to a circumstance.
This is when you test yourself to see if your inner self has the strength to say 'No, enough of this…Get a move on'. Whatever the situation, whatever the role you are playing at that point of time, whatever the motivation is, stand up for yourself as a strong and morally fit human being.
Direct your passion, your talent and your special aptitude into constructive channels and offer another human being the joy of life and the knowledge to celebrate the gift of life by sharing and caring.
